As an anesthesia provider you know which patients are at risk for PONV and you probably treat them prophylactically. This can take up to five days - even for the fastest inhaled anesthetics. The QED-100 is a simple easy-to-use device that actively removes the residual volatile anesthetics at the end of surgery. Studies show that among patients at risk for PONV, removing residual inhaled anesthetics with the QED-100 reduced the need for antiemetics up to 85%.
